ABOUT THE REMIX
A place where real AI capability gets built.
The Remix is a community for people navigating and building with AI — combining expert insight, practical experimentation, and shared learning.
Born in Byron Bay and built to grow beyond one place. The Remix brings together two groups shaping the next wave of work and technology — people applying AI in their work, and people building with it.
ABOUT
What The Remix is
The Remix is a creative tech and AI community born in Byron Bay. We host events, workshops, and shared learning experiences for people who want to use AI well in their work and for people who are actively building with it.
We are not a training provider with experts at the front. The Remix combines expert insight, practical experimentation, and shared learning — because the shift is moving faster than any single expert can track. The most useful thing we can do is create structured space to share what people are actually seeing, testing, and learning in real time.
Who you'll meet here
Most people fit one of these — and that's a good starting point. Overlap is fine.
APPLIERS
I use AI in my work
You want to use AI better in your day-to-day — building real judgment, not just trying tools. You might be in marketing, operations, finance, legal, HR, or leadership. You want clarity, practical capability, and a community that understands the reality of work.

I build with AI
You are building products, automations, agents, or systems with AI. You might be a developer, designer, founder, or technical practitioner. You want technical depth, a community of fellow builders, and events that go beyond the basics.

OUR APPROACH
How we hold it
At The Remix we explore the intersection of technology, creativity, and human wellbeing.
AI in the reality of work
We explore how new tools, models, and capabilities are reshaping work, creativity, and the way people make decisions. Not hype — what holds up when you test it against real conditions.
Creativity and making
We use creative practices to imagine new culture, new systems, and new patterns. The irreducible human layer — ceramics, writing, live performance, making things with your hands — that no model can replicate.
The nervous system matters
You cannot think clearly or create well from a dysregulated state. We take this seriously — not as a wellness add-on but as a foundation. The shift we are navigating is intense. How you carry it matters.
ECOSYSTEM
Part of a wider ecosystem
The Remix sits within a broader ecosystem designed to support learning, capability, implementation and deeper convening over time.

Common questions
Is this only for people in Byron Bay?
No. Events happen across Byron Bay, the Tweed, the Gold Coast, and online. You do not need to be local to participate.
How is The Remix different from a typical networking group?
The Remix is built around shared practice and structured learning — not business card swapping. Events are designed to produce real capability and genuine connection, not just contact lists.
Do I need to be technical to come?
No. The Appliers track is specifically designed for people who want to use AI well in their work without becoming deeply technical. The Builders track is for people who are building more deeply.
What does it cost?
Most community events are free. Workshops and deeper sessions have a fee. Check individual event listings for pricing.
How does The Remix connect to The Signal Studio?
The Signal Studio is the implementation and strategy partner within the same ecosystem. The Remix is where the community conversation happens. The Studio is where organisations go for hands-on support.
Step into the conversation
Every event is a front porch. Turn up curious, leave with more clarity, and find your next step from there.
